Hi there,

We were in touch with one of your support team who suggested opening a ticket for customization of the TOC sticky design.

In particular, we’re looking for a design similar to the one on Wikipedia:
https://capture.dropbox.com/3XXCzosaC6VE2gYz

It sits on the left next to the text while you’re scrolling down.

How can we implement such a design?

Hello sir,

We are glad you are using TOP Table of Contents Pro. It is a pleasure to have you as a customer.
If you would like that kind of design implemented for your website, please share the URL of your website with your credentials (in a private reply) so that we can log in to your site and guide you through the process.

Thanks
Rubel Ahmed

Hi Rubel,

This is a blog post on the website which can be used as an example:
https://www.ylaw.ca/blog/what-are-conduct-orders-and-how-can-they-help-your-family-law-case-in-bc/

Unfortunately, I cannot share the website credentials with you just yet. Can we make it work without them?

I’m experienced in CSS. Can we do it this way?

Hello McKeough,

You can add the Table of contents widget to your slider. With CSS, you can adjust that, such as making the content sticky. In order to do that, please update the table of contents on the sidebar and share the URL with us, and we will make them sticky if necessary with CSS.
We would appreciate it if you provided us with at least the staging version of your site. That way, we could test out your design.

Regardless, if that’s not possible, then add the Top Table of Contents widget to your sidebar and share the exact post URL.

Thanks
Rubel Ahmed

Hi Rubel,

We’ve activated the plugin, and it is now visible:
https://www.ylaw.ca/blog/what-are-conduct-orders-and-how-can-they-help-your-family-law-case-in-bc/

As you can see, the TOC is embedded in the content, which we don’t need. We need it to be on the side throughout the whole time.

Additionally, while you scroll, it overlaps with the text, which doesn’t work for us.

We need it exactly how you advertise it here:

Please advise.

Hi Rubel,

Thank you so much for the video. I do understand you are using the TOC in the sidebar.

Unfortunately, our theme is fully customized, coded, and we cannot edit the sidebar. I believe there’s no other way to do this than go for a refund. It’s just not compatible.

What do you think?
